Who is NSF? NSF International was founded in 1944 as the National Sanitation Foundation. NSF is a not for profit organization known world wide for providing certification services in the areas of health and safety. |

Why NSF and not USDA? In 1998 the United Stated Department of Agriculture, USDA, discontinued certification of non food compounds. |

does NSF Certification Mean? NSF registration assures inspection officials, consumers and end users that products are safe to use in and around food processing and storage. The evaluation process includes a toxicological review of the ingredients, accuracy of labeling and Material Safety Data Sheet. Most importantly, that each product meets all of the requirements of a specific standard and that the manufacturers claims are true. |
